Ashley E. Norton
Ashley E. Norton is Southern California’s fearless leader of female dominated Americana band, Dolly’s Revenge (formerly Lady Psychiatrist’s Booth), founder of all female Songwriter showcase and touring trio, Songbirds, and solo artist. She’s a champion for women in music and has been nominated for the San Diego Music Awards three years in a row and is the 2023 winner of Ramona’s Citizen of the Year. She released a solo album produced by Johnny Garcia (guitarist for Brooks/Yearwood), “Call Of The Void,” that sat at #20 on the Euro Americana charts for two months straight in 2024, bubbled up on the Alt-Country charts and received multiple glowing reviews and "best of 2024" accolades including recent semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. Her latest acoustic release, "The Red Guitar," is on display at Palais Het Loo in Apeldoorn, NL due to the history of the song and collaboration with WWII survivor, Paula Stykel Wiessner.
Ashley began her long career in the Arizona music scene with folk-rock band Delcoa, then moved to Nashville in 2010 to pursue her love for Americana and Country music. There she hosted many successful songwriter nights and worked with some of Nashville’s finest. In 2014, she began touring the world non-stop with her folk duo, Whitherward, embarking on countless successful national and European tours for 6 years. She has received endorsements from companies such as Subaru Europe, Martin Guitars, Avian Guitars, and most recently, Electro-Voice. Recent cover girl for San Diego’s top music magazine, “The Troubadour” and “The Ramona Home Journal.” Touring throughout the year with all of her projects, she's often described as “the busiest woman in music,” with sometimes up to 8 shows of all shapes and sizes a week. She is known to make the world her stage when performing and loves to walk out into the audience or onto tables and chairs when rocking out with the band. There's a connection with her audience on a deeper level available there and she's not afraid to explore it. Norton describes her music as Americana but her songs have something for everyone…be ready to laugh, cry, and at times be dazzled by her amazing singing dog, Garfunkel…we all know he’s the real star of the show.
